Kwa hivyo mtengenezaji wa processor pamoja na Intel wamekuwa wakitumia alama za biashara kama Pentium na Athlon badala ya majina kama 486 na 586. Kwa hivyo alama ya biashara iliyorekodiwa katika CPU hii ni IntelDX4, sio i486DX4. But It is better known as 486DX4 or 80486DX4 than as IntelDX4.</p>

<p>IntelDX4 inafaa kabisa tundu la pini 169 1. Lakini inaweza kuweka tundu la pini 238 2 na Soketi ya pini 237 3. Socket1/2 inasaidia 5V. Ili kutumia IntelDX4 kwa usalama kwenye Socket1/2, the motherboard must be able to modulate CPU Voltage to 3.3V.</p>
<p>CPU za awali zilizalisha joto la chini, kwa hivyo wangeweza kutumia bila heatsink. Lakini DX4 ilikuwa ya moto sana kutumia bila heatsink kwa sababu ya kasi ya DX4 kufikia 75 ~ 120Mhz.. Attaching heatsink and fan on CPU chip is general after DX4.</p>
